Essentially the
operating method
is no different
from that using a
standard Jamshidi
needle. With
our needle
however, by
TILTING AND
ROTATING the
needle, after it
has been fully
inserted, the high
precision,
sharpened
grooves on the
external surface
of the cannula tip
cut away unwanted
bone; the
full thickness
grooves at the
very tip grab the
specimen at it's
tip and free it
from the
underlying bone,
so when the
operator withdraws
the needle, the
biopsy is
captured.
SAMPLES
ARE 20% BROADER THAN
EQUIVALENT JAMSHIDI
This
can be achieved because there is less
swaging (narrowing) at the
tip of our needles
compared to the standard
Jamshidi. This is
possible as we have a
much more efficient way of
capturing the sample.
SAMPLES
ARE EXCELLENT QUALITY
The
biopsy sample is protected
within the cannula during
the whole process - just
like in the Jamshidi
needle - so there is no
possibility to damage the
sample. Unlike some
of our competitors'
devices, there
is no need for additional
(expensive) components,
which when inserted into
the cannula, can snare or
damage the biopsy.
